Best Field Service Software is an independent research site for US home-service businesses — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control, pool service, handyman and the rest of the trades — who are trying to choose field service management software without wasting a month and a few thousand dollars on the wrong fit.

What we actually do

• We publish verified prices. Plan prices, per-user costs, bundled users, add-ons and card-processing fees, taken from the vendor's own public pricing page and dated.
• We separate estimates from facts. If a vendor hides its pricing, we say so and label any figure we quote as a reported range.
• We rank for fit, not feature count. The question is never "which tool has the most features" — it is "which tool fits a three-truck plumbing company in Ohio".
• We tell you who should not buy. A shortlist without a "not for you" line is marketing, not research.

How we research

1. Vendor pricing pages, plan comparison tables and published terms — screenshotted and dated.
2. Vendor help centres and release notes for feature availability by plan tier.
3. Public reviews and trade forums, used for pattern-spotting rather than scoring.
4. Direct quotes and clarification requests where a vendor publishes nothing usable.

We do not accept payment for a ranking, a review score, or a "best" label. We do not publish fake hands-on testing claims: we say what we verified, how, and when.

How the site is funded

When you click a link to a vendor and later sign up, we may receive a commission from that vendor's affiliate program. You pay the same price either way. This is disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links, and the mechanics are explained in ouraffiliate disclosure.

Who writes the pages

The BestFSM Editorial Team — a small editorial team that researches, writes and maintains this site. Every page carries the date it was last updated and the date its prices were last checked.
